We looked at the working together key and how it is important to help each other. Together we created some beautiful art work!!

A letter has gone out to all of year 1 regarding a trip to Dudley Zoo. The trip will take place Monday 27th June.
Our topic this term has been Animal Kingdom and the trip will allow the children to develop their learning further and see real animals from around the world.

The whole of year 1 went outside for maths today. They competed against one another and worked in teams to follow the instructions given. They made whole turns, half turns and a quarter turns.
In maths the children have been learning positional language and have been learning to use the words whole,half and a quarter. They have been spinning the giraffe around to make these turns.
Can you make these turns by spinning yourself around?
A big well done to Eshal in 1B who entered the science poster competition for National Science week and has won the Junior 2 category!

Today in Read Write Inc we became storytellers!! Some super reading applying all the sounds you are learning, with lots of expression! Storytellers in the making! Make sure you are reading lots at home too!!!
