Diwali – Online information.

Computers are a great way of finding out lots of information.  Today in computing we are using the skills we have learned this half term to log on to the computer, use headphones and click on a link from the blog to find out all about the festival of Diwali that takes place over the holiday next week.

Discovery education can be used at home, but you need to log in, but in school we can go directly.

Time to vote

Today we used our British value of democracy to vote for the first class winner of the BEST respect award. We all privately wrote down our vote which were later counted to find out the winner.

Wake up for British Values

This morning we sang our wake up song in assembly to wake ourselves up ready for a day of learning and our tricky assembly.

We have been learning about our British Values and how we demonstrate these at Holbrook Primary. First we thought about democracy. We meet our school council and found out their roles in school and how this demonstrates democracy.

Finally, we discussed how we have individual liberty at school. We looked at all the different areas of school where we have a choice such as after school clubs, choosing our own book to read at home and our library book.
